The RC1700 Drinking water hose reel was developed in the early 1990’s by AK Reels for the Australian and USA markets. Today this reel has wide spread acceptance by the Caravanning community wherever they may be. The robust high impact polypropylene casing, similar to car bumper products, gives the reel strength and  flexibility where others crack and break. The case colour is UV resistant which reduces fading over time if exposed to sunlight for long periods of time, which happens with RVs and caravans. The ease of fitting the reel to the Van directly or via the draw bar makes the system versatile and convenient for the users. Easily released from the bracket by the quick release locking pin for storage in the boot or storage area until required. When in use the hose may be extended to any length (up to 20M) to reach the water supply. Unlike expanding type hoses the RC1700 will operate at full efficiency with only one or two meters of hose line extended. At the end of the day, this system helps the user get more holidays and less fuss with coiling up hoses and leaking water in their storage compartments as they move from place to place on their trip.

Built-in, retro fit or just use the draw bar adaptor; whatever suits your needs. The 26980 caravan portal is also available for those installing the reels into the boot space in the Van. The reels work perfectly in vertical or horizontal mountings.
